GOVERNMENT SERVICES ACCOUNTANT

Duties and Responsibilities for Government Services Accountant:

  • Learn the intricacies of Public Assistance and Hazard Mitigation grant programs
  • Communicate with recipients of federal grants related to disaster recovery
  • Review, analyze, and compile documentation provided by grant recipients
  • Test documentation provided to ensure grant scope was followed in anticipation for the receipt and/or disbursement of Public Assistance funds
  • Analyze results of testing to determine whether or not a variance found should be reported as an compliance finding

Other Responsibilities for Government Services Accountant:

  • Ensure compliance with PCAOB CPE requirements, if not a CPA.
  • Learn all new technology introduced by the Firm as appropriate for practice area.
  • Other duties as assigned.
  • Required Experience
  • Required Education and Licensing:
  • Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a closely related field
  • CPA eligibility strongly preferred
  • If CPA license has been obtained, must be a member in good standing with the AICPA, as well as applicable state boards.
